Premier League: Man Utd news: Paul Pogba revelation made by France hero – is this why he’s struggling? | Football | Sport

That’s the view of France hero Frank LeBoeuf, who helped his nation to the World Cup in 1998.

Pogba also won the famous tournament in Russia this summer, playing a starring role as France lifted the trophy for the first time in 20 years.

Despite impressing so much over the summer, Pogba has struggled to reach the same heights at Manchester United this season.

There have been reports suggesting the midfielder wants to return to Juventus, who he left for United in 2016.

And former Chelsea defender LeBoeuf can understand why Pogba is struggling this season after a summer filled with highs.

“It was very hard to come back to Chelsea, to the training ground, to start running, to think we had to play the first game away to Coventry,” LeBoeuf told ESPN FC.

“As Paul said, you touch the stars. For thousands of people it wasn’t a dream, it was a fantasy.

“Suddenly you win it and you have to find the goals to make sure you still have a big appetite in football.

“You go through kind of a depression where you have to find what you’re fighting for.

“Maybe that’s what Paul is living right now with all the players.

“You have to find back the pleasure of being back with your friends and liking sweating and suffering for the sake of it.

“It comes little by little. You have to work hard to try and win trophies, it’s the only way to make sure you’re still concerned about your sport.”

Paul Pogba recently admitted that it was a dream come true to come back to United.

He said: “When I came back to United, it was the best feeling ever.

“I came back home. I always dreamed of playing for United, to have many games and score goals.

“Nothing had really changed, except for maybe the team and the manager, but the rest of the club was the same.

“I just came back home, it was like I didn’t really leave – I just went on holiday! [laughs]. It was a great feeling to come back home.

“It was great to come back, to feel the air of Manchester. That has never changed.”
