Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros has refused to rule out a January bid for Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.

Caparros was questioned by reporters when he arrived for work at Sevilla’s Sanchez Pizjuan on Thursday and asked if he was trying to sign Morata.

He said: ‘We are working on many names. The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla.’

Morata is understood to be keen on a move back to La Liga but he would not have it easy becoming a Sevilla regular.

Their front two of Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva have scored eight goals each in the league so far this season.
